In this hilarious and highly original story, six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir meet an unexpected end in a roller coaster accident. Upon awakening in limbo, they encounter the Amazing Karnak, a mechanical fortune teller who invites them to participate in a high-stakes game of life and death. Much like the different stages of grief, each character in this story is distinct and complex in their own way. However, they are all compelled to unite and collaborate to achieve their ultimate goal. This beloved musical has become a viral sensation, offering a humorous yet poignant exploration of what makes a life well-lived.

ALL AUDITIONERS MUST BE AGE 18+

​​​For The Audition

• Please view / download more information about the show and a character breakdown (including voice part) at the following link:  CLICK HERE.
   

• A pianist will be provided. Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theater piece that best demonstrates your vocal ability. The song can be from the show or something else.
   

• If singing a song not from show, please bring sheet music for the pianist. The song should be in the style of music the character you are auditioning for sings in the show.
   

• All auditioners will be asked to learn and perform a short dance/movement combination. Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in as well as closed toe shoes.
   

• Short readings from the script will be held.

Rehearsal & Show Dates
Rehearsals will begin in mid-January and will be held on Sunday afternoons (2-4:30pm) and Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:30pm. All cast WILL be called for all rehearsals with the exception of Karnak who may not be called for specific rehearsals involving choreography. Please be prepared to fill out a form with any conflicts for rehearsal dates from 1/18/26 through 4/22/26.

Tech week will run Saturday 4/18 to Wednesday 4/22/26. All cast members must be available for all tech week rehearsals and all performances (4/23 thru 4/26 and 4/30 thru 5/3/26).
