Curtains

Curtains is a parody of 1950s "whodunnit" theater mysteries.  Set in 1959 Boston during the pre-Broadway tryout of Robbin’ Hood of the Old West, the musical follows the fallout when Robbin’ Hood’s supremely untalented star is murdered during her opening night curtain call. It is up to Lt. Frank Cioffi, a police detective who moonlights as a community theater aficionado and musical theater fan, to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the show reopens, without being killed himself.  The score of Curtains, the last collaboration of musical theater greats Kander and Ebb, runs the gamut from witty patter songs to rich ballads and lots of exciting, full ensemble numbers.
