Charles Condomine hosts a seance at his fashionable country house as research for a novel about the supernatural.  But the local medium, Madame Arcati, proves to be the real thing, and he finds himself haunted by the spirit of his first wife.  Did Charles will her back?  Is he endangered by their fiendish plan to reclaim him?  Only the great Noel Coward could spin a tale replete with eccentrics, plot twists and repartee, in which a ghost is the one who really knows how to live.
